OLP has had a massive year! Take a look back on 2019 with us, as we reflect on our achievements and milestones.
January
Each year new trends are adopted in office spaces around the world, leading to some new and exciting office design opportunities. We took a look at some of the predicted trends which included Green Workplaces, experience - driven spaces, rethinking the open plan office and using strong, bold colours to make a statement.

March
In March, we celebrated International Women’s Day. OLP is lucky to have a team of dedicated women who work in various roles within the company. OLP Customer Service Manager Julie O’Brien and Business Development Manager Janise Howard discussed their roles within the company and what they love about their jobs.
April
In April, OLP was pleased to introduce Snughooks, a recessed hook, providing a safer alternative to protruding hooks, minimising unnecessary hazards. The safe design of Snughooks makes them ideal for schools and public areas.
MAY
OLP supplied more than 1000 heavy duty plastic lockers with a mixture of 2 and 4 door configurations and of various colours to a leading private school in Victoria. We customised the lockers to meet the needs of a locker room environment, including the addition of ventilations holes for adequate airflow and drain holes, so they could be washed regularly.
June
In June, we announced a range of our products had been AFRDI Green Tick Approved. In meeting these standards, OLP demonstrated the ethical sourcing of raw materials and labour, the responsible use of water and energy during manufacture, waste minimisation, the longevity of the product and recyclability.
July
Victoria became the first state to announce a ban on mobile phones in all public primary and secondary schools after NSW introduced a ban for primary schools at the beginning of the year.
August
OLP took a look at how the design of a classroom can impact learning. There were six design parameters that had a powerful impact on student learning including the quality of furniture, the flexibility of furniture in the classroom, the colour of the classroom and furniture, access within the classroom and school environment, fresh and unique surroundings and the quality and quantity of natural light.
September
We took a look at how the Top-Track® wire mobile shelving system is ideal for environments concerned with cleanliness and sterility such as hospitals.
October
In October, OLP introduced our Padria Range of Workstations. The Padria Range is just one of six categories of workstations. OLP’s workstations incorporate premium components as well as flexible design options. Each design covers a wide range of employee needs and can be customised to best fit the environment.
